Insurance
The Cortland Surgical Center is in-network or contracted with several insurance companies. Our staff will verify your coverage before surgery to estimate how much you will have to pay. Depending on your coverage you may have a deductible, co-pay, or co-insurance. This payment will be due the day of surgery unless other arrangements were made. The Cortland Surgical Center accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Flexible spending cards, personal and cashier checks, cash and affordable monthly payment plans through CareCredit. You may want to contact your insurance company to find out more about your coverage.

There will be three components of the billing:

  • 1.) CNY Medical Professionals (Surgeon Dr. Kumar and Anesthesiologist Dr. Settineri)
  • 2.) Cortland Surgical Center (Operating Room Fee)
  • 3.) Pathology/Laboratory (if applicable)

The Cortland Surgical Center will bill your insurance for the facility fee.  Your surgeon, anesthesiologist, and pathology laboratory will bill separately for their visit.  If you have any questions about your bill after your surgery, please contact the Center for Ambulatory Surgery Billing office at
